Hmm. Well, I think there's significant movement in that direction (and I think the jumping ship of Paul Ryan and Trey Gowdy are rather suggestive), but what you're consistently saying is that it isn't so because it hasn't happened yet.

Maybe it won't. I was wrong about Trump's election, and I could be wrong about this. I can see the other possibilities, but my bottom line is that if you elevate a questionably-competent crook to the presidency, it's basically just a waiting game. Two years seems interminably long by some measures, but it's hardly an eternity.

I draw your attention to the "fine print" in my post which notes that from a cyclical perspective there were times in the Bush administration when fiscal stimulus was justified.

With respect to Obama, the unemployment rate at the end of his first year was 10%. So I don't think it would have made sense to tighten fiscal policy in the early years of his administration. But I do think significant tightening was warranted in the last few years of his term.

No, I keep hearing the narrative of a flawed candidate yet no one ever spells out the "flaws"
    kinda like thethe's "success' "

Again, a thing that happened was she out polled everyone.

The elitist bit was just a joke about Cohen's law school cred, i.e. that he couldn't be a criminal mastermind if he didn't graduate from an elite institution.

Ok, "Michael Cohen is a crook" is a hot take. Sure, buddy. I'll stick with that one, no matter it's temperature.

As for what it matters...I guess one has to accept your "everything imaginable was litigated during the election" take to drink that one without puking.

I just see the narrative of the "flawed candidate" be it HRC or Mitt Romney,McCain or even Bob Dole as lazy and nonsensical.
Those that preach it and those that hop in line never seem to be able to articulate said flaws.
As thethe can't seem to articulate "success"

You are going to have to connect the dots between electoral litigation of DJT for grabbing vagina and Michael Cohen doing business with waste management folk.

But I think that's my point.

I am not a believer that oil prices are primarily the adminstration's fault. But I don't give it much credit for higher stock prices either.

The things they ought to be held accountable for are the things that they are supposed to be in charge of. Fiscal policy for example (the Saudis allowing movies and giving drivers' licenses to women would not be an example). Easy to say "the big bad Congress made me do it." Well a presidential signature is need for every tax and spending bill. So that yuge hole that has been blown in federal finances is something that I think it should be given a fairly bad grade for. It is comparable to the irresponsible fiscal policy run by George W Bush. At least Bush had the excuse during the early years of his administration (and the last year too) that the economy was at a point in the business cycle where some fiscal stimulus was justified.
Lessening regulation and favorable tax policy spurred a market rally so I think its fair to at least provide some credit to this administration for a strong market.

By that metric of success Trump was also successful in gas prices rising 25% in the past 2 months.
With I might add projections of more to come

Doing the rough math that increase at the pump will impact more people

Remind me again who of the Presidents party is leaning on the tax breaks as a campaign prop ?

They stopped pushing tax reform because of the class warefare that is pushed by the left against people that don't understand how math works. So its real simple to put up a graphic showing people with more money got more benefit from the tax plan. But the overall message is dishonest and doens't grab the big picture. However, in campaign strategy its not a winning approach to win the voters.

You will never see any success for this administration. I understand that. But they are all over the place and real impacts are being seen across the world. Its refreshing after the last 8 years of instability overseas.

All I know about gas prices is that I paid $3.79 to fill up a few days ago.

HRC was a big proponent of the Iraq war.

    Trump wasn't.

    Should I go on?

I would love to see a re unification of Korea.
I would love to see Saudi Arabia in fact liberated
I would love to see a tax free world
    Whoever accomplishes it

I wish trickle down economics work
I wish everyone got a pony for their birthday.

Class warfare is only an issue when oppressors begin to feel threatened by the oppressed.
