As federal prosecutors in Manhattan gathered evidence late last year about President Trump’s role in silencing women with hush payments during the 2016 campaign, Mr. Trump called Matthew G. Whitaker, his newly installed attorney general, with a question. He asked whether Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States attorney for the Southern District of New York and a Trump ally, could be put in charge of the widening investigation, according to several American officials with direct knowledge of the call.

Mr. Whitaker, who had privately told associates that part of his role at the Justice Department was to “jump on a grenade” for the president, knew he could not put Mr. Berman in charge, since Mr. Berman had already recused himself from the investigation. The president soon soured on Mr. Whitaker, as he often does with his aides, and complained about his inability to pull levers at the Justice Department that could make the president’s many legal problems go away.

When I was musing about The National Lampoon and early-SNL in an earlier post, The Smothers Brothers totally slipped my mind. Good call.

Both the left and the right have lost their sense of perspective on what it means to be a public figure and the price that comes with that territory. Everybody's a snowflake these days.

the people in charge of the "coup d'état" informed both parties in congress they were looking at trump and his ties

seems like a really bad way to go about a coup d'état

Well it falls to me to post a link to an article with something positive about Trump.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...=.62a63081b0c5

He has sometimes been criticized for the unstructured executive time, too much golfing and too much schmoozing. Every president has his own style. But I think having too much structure can be bad. And leaving lots of time for unstructured thinking and schmoozing, as well as activities a president might find relaxing, such as golf, can be a good thing.

deep state is so deep it can hide by doing its evil deeds out in the open

btw Rosenstein took Nunes aside and asked him to recuse himself...Nunes said no...and Rosenstein shrugged his shoulders and said I can't make you

This needs to be getting more play.

Whitaker should be called back to testify in front of the House ASAP.

Why was the second amendment included in the constitution?

You need to go back over your history. This example right here shines a clear light on how little you know of our founding.

Whatever intetpretation, you advocated the shooting of Mc Caib, which is nuts.

We have mechanisms in place to deal with differences.

Shooting people we disagree with is ... nuts.
    This needs addressing
