Well I can't speak for all SouthEast asians but I do know in Filipino culture we take the hands of our elders and put them to our foreheads. Sign of blessing to respect elders.

Islamist extremism is not the same per say as radical islamic terror as he continued to criticize Obama for, for years.

Radical islamist terror as he implied for so long, was implying it was a widespread problem amongst islam.

But now he went the PC route of islamist extremism, isolating it to a certain segment.

And let's be real here, the Saudis did not like Obama because of his tougher stance on Saudis compared to Trump. Especially with him helping Iran.

Not really nitpicking, this is probably the 20th major talking point he campaigned on that he's done a 180 or 90 on.

It's not nitpicking. It's similar to the way ISIS gets uber pissed at people calling them Daesh or why conservatives ripped Obama for calling them ISIL not ISIS.

Radical Islamic Terror has a different meaning to certain muslims than Islamic extremism. I'm not sure why you do not see that.
