the ~45 years of tax returns Trump has submitted ------ why 2005?

    Not 1984 or 1999 or 2012 --- 2005

Just wondered if our resident Trump apologists could enlighten us all

    I'd rather you enlighten us.

Something obviously fishy in that $39M paid in taxes

So it's 100% that Trump released it now?

“There’s no time for vacations. We’re not going to be big on vacations. The White House is like this incredible place, right? Represents so much, and you’re there for a limited period of time. If you’re at the White House, and you have so much work to do, why do you fly so- why do you leave so much? You know, you’d think you’d wanna work, work, work, straighten it out, get it done, fix it up, make it great, and then when you’re finished, you can be proud." - Donald Trump, a year before taking his fifth vacation at Mar-a-lago after just two months on the job.

The IRS must be entirely inept that they haven't found any evidence of tax evasion in any of the years he's been audited.

I would rather keep it secular and bolster its numbers with moderate, religious-lite folks of any stripe.

The point is - it won't stay secular. Secularists don't procreate enough to ever stay in the majority. And the conversion rate from "moderate Islam" to thoroughgoing secularism won't be sufficient...

In my life time a Muslim has become the mayor of London. Cities like Birmingham, England are now majority non-Anglo, non-western (philosophically). And the immigration gates could be closed completely, and jolly old England will still be a far different place in another 10 or 20 years. Until secularists begin having more children, they'll be a dying breed.

I'm pretty over the tax returns and Russia stuff. We have actual ****ty policies for me to concern myself with. Save the rest of it for 2020.

seems all that is changing for secularists in your "scary" examples is they will be fighting a different religion that wants to impose their views instead of the one they have been fighting to impose their views in the past

    no doubt

although i would love to see the tax returns cause it's weird to not show em and the russia stuff only keeps sticking around cause his people keep lying about connections to it and how the orange dude talks about Russia as opposed to everyone else etc etc

As you may see it - but again the point is, you lose. And by you I mean the dominance of secularism in Western societies. If current trends continue. You just don't breed enough.

Btw, it isn't that scary to me.

2020 will become a landslide victory for trump if the economy continues to rebound. At the end of the day people vote their self interests. Primarily their wallets.

Here's a fascinating read - probably deserves it's own thread. But it touches on a lot of what we are discussing/debating.

    Worth pondering: Link

I think that's just wrong-headed, but it fits in with a secularist's narrative of things.
