Seriously **** this mindset. One can hold a *highly* negative view of Tucker Carlson and still not manage to cross certain lines that were crossed last night. I for one think Tucker Carlson is among the absolute worst of us as Americans, and would gladly dance on the ashes of his television career, but going to his home and beating on his door doesn’t change anything. All it does is provide validation to some of their more outlandish claims about the left, which would actually be counterproductive to changing the culture.
What needs to happen instead in my opinion is we need to continue protesting with our wallets. For as much ire as it drew from the right, there is nothing wrong with calling sponsors and letting them know your opinion of their continued business relationship with Tucker Carlson’s show. There’s no issue with large public demonstrations protesting a policy or even a person. Taking that anger to someone’s front door or into a restaurant where a fellow citizen is trying to eat is crossing a line to me, though. Some may say the ends justify the means, but I disagree. If you think (like I do) that Tucker Carlson is an ill to society, don’t become another yourself.
