Tillerson also appeared to take a shot at Trump’s chief method of communication, Twitter.

“I will be honest with you: It troubles me that the American people seem to want to know so little about issues — that they are satisfied with a 128 characters,” Tillerson said.

He was quick to say that that wasn’t meant as a shot at Trump, but our political system more broadly. Next to his other comments, though, it wasn’t difficult to see he was lumping Trump with all those Americans who aren’t intellectually curious enough about policy and the actual details of U.S. government.

There is going to be an interesting cottage industry in the next few years of literary works by those close to Trump. It will be bifurcated: between those like Tillerson who will call it as they see it and those who see a quick buck to be made by pandering to the base.

I like how Trump tweeted today he doesn't know Jerome Corsi (he put it in parentheses) but just endorsed Corsi's propaganda book against the witch hunt in a tweet not even a few months ago. Kind of like he never met Whitaker but hired him because he's heard a lot of good things about him.

Although Rex did say he'd never met Trump until Trump asked him to take the SoS position. So maybe for once Trump wasn't lying but just still is a moron?
