"Still sticking with"? Trump's term hasn't even started yet, so this impeachment narrative is just getting under way. He's going to make enemies of both parties, and the GOP would love to see Pence replace him as soon as possible. It's only a matter of time before Trump does something so outrageous or irresponsible that his head is on a platter, if his past doesn't catch up with him first. Is he ever going to release his taxes? I imagine there's some explosive stuff in there to get the conversation started.

I think you're right. Plus, he'll be borderline 80 years old by then, which will be hard to consider. 8 years would putting him knocking on 90. I guess I'm thinking a newcomer will step up and fire up the left within the next 4 years.

I kind of think that Bernie is to the Dems what Ron Paul was to Republicans. He can try again in 2020, but it won't go anywhere.

And this whole narrative from some that Trump is getting impeached is hilarious. Liberals really are beside themselves about this one.

I'm not on the impeachment bandwagon, but it's no more or less hilarious than the birther movement.

So basically, you are just hoping and praying that he has some Bengazi level screw up so he can get impeached?

To clarify, I'm not advocating impeachment. I'm stating that there are high odds that he will be. I personally think Pence is worse, so I REALLY don't want to see that POS become President. Just let Trump do his 4 years of crazy, and people will be falling all over themselves back to the Dems' side by 2020.

I like how people think Trump is just some fumbling buffoon that's going to step in to office and get fired immediately. The guy didn't become a billionaire by being a complete idiot. You may view him as an idiot because he got caught on camera saying the same sort of stuff that most normal guys say, but he's far from the moron that the media has made you believe.

Bernie got closer to the nomination than Paul ever did.

Bernie is more mainstream on the Dems than Paul ever was with the GOP.

If Bernie doesn't run I expect a Berniesque candidate to succeed him.

Yeah, because that's the only reason I view him negatively. That one comment caught on camera.

And no, most guys, normal or otherwise, do NOT say things like that. Besides, I don't view him as an idiot or moron. I just think his thirst for revenge, lack of decency and self-control, brutish bullying, misogynistic tendencies, racist overtures, hunger for power, and ill preparation make him a terrible choice for the most esteemed office in the country, if not the world. But I don't think he's dumb. Just a horrible human being who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

If the state of the union is doing ok in 4 years then I think Trump will win reelection. The best argument against his presidency is that he could be an actual danger to the country. If he shows to be halfway competent as a President then that argument is gone next election cycle. If he does all the populist stuff he says he wants to do (childcare, infrastructure, hedge fund tax, etc.), and the country is in good shape then I think he could win bigly.

Depends on how it goes for Trump. If it's going pretty well they'll trot out someone who'll be a bit of a longshot. If it isn't it will almost certainly be Warren or Booker and they should wlak their way into the white house.

That being said, I'm guessing one of 2 things, if it's a longshot it may be a Bernie or heck maybe even Hillary again. Send her out this time as a calm leader rather than the awkward Cheerleader. Maybe for long shot Michelle Obama but I don't think she would want it.

I think we should continue the trend of voting in worse and worse candidates so I am throwing my early support behind Kanye. A Kanye vs Donald presidential race would could top this last election.

Bernie also wasn't treated like the 13th floor in the hotel by the media. No one can win the nomination or presidency of the media refuses to cover you.

It's harder to beat the incumbent in the 2nd election.

I think you're right about this. Dems have gone too much wine-and-brie and have forgotten people who logically should be on their side on economic issues.
