And he's worse than Elliot Johnson?

Elliot Johnson has a .573 OPS in 600+ big league PAs. He can steal a base, sure, but you can grow an Evan Gattis-esque beard in between his appearances on base.

Are you asking if Uggla is worse than EJ? If you factor in defense and how both are hitting right now, yes. But if Uggla turns it on before the playoffs that could change. So it depends on how that goes I reckon. Either way, I'd still bring in EJ for defense at second late in games the playoffs.

I'm not going to sit here and have a pissing contest....Get that homeless guy on Hank Aaron Blvd right outside the stadium who offers to give you directions then once you make the mistake of giving him some spare change bc he runs off and buys smack with it, a chance at 2nd for all I give a damn. We can't take another year of Dan's horse ****. Look like Tarzan, play like Jane.

He made 172 errors in 4 minor league seasons. He fielding % in the majors at 2B was .952. Uggla's career worse is .976. Now factor in that BJ would probably do worse than that .952 because he hasnt played the position in 6 years. Uggla is not the worst fielding 2B in the game, not even close to it.

Anyone notice that how often Medlen gives up extra base hits after TheThe praises him in posts (game threads)? It's been going on a lot this year. Thankfully I am not superstitious, lol.

I was about to post the same thing. He looks like the dominant Medlen tonight. How big of a boost would it be if we got that guy heading into the playoffs?

Yep, I remember when he was still a second baseman. But they are not moving him back now, so I am not sure why it's worth debating.

I appreciate your humor and I'm not sure why he took offense to your fair questions. I had no issue answering them, we might even end up agreeing if Uggla turns things around. But right now he looks really lost at the plate, IMO.

The results are nice but I can't stand how often he swings at the first pitch.

uggla is straight garbage right now. I'd rather any of our other options out there. He bring NOTHING to the plate anymore.

I didn't take any offense to anything that was said. I'm just tired of people trying to defend this over payed clown. It's September into his 3rd year of his 5 year deal and he's never cracked .250 hitting since he's been here. He needs to leave or renegotiate that bull sht contract.

2007 he had 48 games at 2B. He was like the anti-Andrelton when playing the infield. In 04 they actually let him play 16 games at SS. He had a brutal .901 fielding %. Gattis could probably play 2B just as well as BJ.
