I had about said all I wanted to say about this thread til now. What do you base that statement on? If true, why did they DFA him just last month. If you want to accept yesterday as a sound move by Fredi, why didnt he throw Gilmartin or Hale out there or even 1 of the other AAA starters? Its not like Loe didnt have a record to go on.

Yes, I think it was a sound move because it wasn't an important game and we didn't unnecessarily put a young pitcher at risk. Starting a AAA prospect in a throw-away game at the end of the season could disrupt their plans for that starter. They could get shelled before they're ready and damage the player's confidence or they could get lucky and think they are ready when they are not. There are a lot of reasons why you wouldn't want to use a valued prospect in that situation.

It is extremely naive for anyone to think Fredi just decided to start Loe without input from Roger and Wren.

Fredi needs permission to wipe his butt.

It only makes sense that Fredi defers to Roger on most all pitching moves, in game and out.

Of course it makes sense. Which means it likely doesn't happen.

Are you being sarcastic again? The coaching staff and organization has been the envy of all professional sports for years.

Perhaps with a few less idiotic moves by Fredi the pitching staff could overachieve more.
