Curious to find out the details. So far we know it's Jenkins and Brady Feigl going to the Rangers.

curious on the trade. usually they lead with the headliners or the deal not the minor leaguers that were traded....unless it was for prospects
Get off my lawn!
Adding another layer to the Heyward trade.
thank you weso1!
RHP Luke Jackson
Has to be for an AA or AAA catcher, right?
Rangers #15 prospect on MLB pipeline.
Not sure who trade is for, but it's a trade from depth with low ceilings. It could be another wild card
I liked Jenkins. Not as someone I thought was going to be a big part. Just seemed like a nice all around guy. Good luck tj

Good k rates in the minors, but pretty high BB rates.
thank you weso1!
So we moved a back end starter with control issues and a second a loogy for another former first rounder with control issues forcing them to rp?
10 man pen?
Don't get this one. All low value pieces, but is Feigl maybe the best piece in this deal?

A little strange. Think I'd have just rather kept Jenkins. But I honestly don't think this trade will have much impact whatsoever on either side.
Jenkins had literally no role going forward. Might as well get somebody with a shot.
Where is Nostradomus with his WAR projections for this trade.

Jackson looks like the FO's dirt poor alternative to Brad Brach. I'm content to gamble on Jackson (who has been nagged by poor control and lackluster secondary pitches since being drafted) and Armando Rivera as potential power righty options of the pen rather than coughing up a talent like Mallex for a proven relief arm.
Tyrell is a guy that always seemed overrated by the fan base because people like him and he seems like a nice guy. Ultimately, he's pretty pointless to our rebuild. Doesn't miss enough bats to have much of a role with us. May as well to a shot at a guy who could be a late-inning reliever. I did like Feigl though.

I'm not going to pretend to be enthused about the deal, but it makes sense. In Jenkins we had a guy who probably wasn't good enough to start but didn't have a great relief profile. Jackson is a RP all the way, so he might have a better chance at success in Atlanta than Jenkins did.
This from guy who follow Rangers MiLB closely . . .
