Apparently Heyman removed the original tweet. He originally said the Braves had "kicked the tires" on Brian Dozier. Seems he deleted that tweet and replaced it with one saying the Braves aren't in on Dozier. I had linked to the original tweet here but when Heyman removed it that just left an empty message.

The weird thing was that since I was posting it on my phone, apparently it just remembered what was supposed to be there and kept displaying the tweet. It made a lot of the responses in this thread puzzling until I looked it up on an actual computer this morning.
Wouldn't be worth it for us. We're not 1 player away, and we have Albies coming up who'll need a place to play and 2B is the likely home.

Dozier is about three times the athlete that Uggla is. He plays a pretty decent 2B, but I don't know if he could move to another position. When Dozier gets in a groove, the ball flies all over the park. But he periodically has a month when his contact rate is so bad he may as well be trying to hit with a broomstick.

I don't know what the value of De Leon is, and it's likely the Twins do value him more, but you continue to value Wisler and Blair like they are fodder. Blair was a top 50 prospect this time a year ago and while Wisler has struggled in the majors the last two years, he also was a top pitching prospect a short time ago. Both guys still have mid rotation ceilings and plenty of time to reach those ceilings.
This is why we can't have informed baseball discussion here. I said Wisler and Blair are not as valuable as De Leon. Further, since the Twins are holding out for more than De Leon, logic dictates they would not settle for a return less valuable than De Leon. Therefore, we can conclude Wisler and Blair are not enough to get Dozier.
I did not say Wisler and Blair are fodder. If I say Trout is better than Freeman does that mean I'm calling Freeman a bum?

I don't know if it has changed recently or not but the Twins generally look for good control starters that throw strikes. They are a bad team that desperately needs pitching and they could slot those 2 in right away. Teams do place a premium on major league ready players. I am not saying those 2 would get it done but it makes sense to me the Twins would ask for them.
