    Public Schools

    Where do you stand?
    What was your experience ?
    Where did you attend ?
Do you feel education should be left to charter schools or outright privatized ?

Can we start with this tweet:

an underappreciated aspect of public school is it can teach a privileged kid how many smart people there are who just weren't lucky

I'd advocate for public and private education. There's a place for all sorts. My public school experience (elementary - undergrad) was spotty and depended on the teachers I had. My private school experience has been phenomenal (from an inner-city Mission school to one of the largest seminaries in my tradition to teaching in a HS classical academy).
