    CONSENSUS Top Prospect List (2017)

With five different scouting interests rating the Braves' Top 30 prospects for 2017 (counting us, not counting Baseball America, which still overcharges obscenely for its annual books), we have a strong consensus Top 30 list on the cusp of spring training.

Before the list, some facts of interest:

    Points were tabulated as follows: 30, 29, 28, 27 ... 3, 2, 1

Most divisive prospect is Acuna, who was ranked No. 2 by one list, No. 16 by another. I had him No. 5.

Leaving off Swanson, who was not on every list, Albies was a unanimous No. 1 -- the only pick on which all five agreed.

Four of the five lists had 30 players; one had 29.

Chop County was the only list that listed Gutierrez, but had him ranked No. 16.

I was the only list who included Scivicque, Ventura, Vazquez and Janas.

Two lists have not been updated to include Gohara. Those that did ranked him 14, 11, 15.

Ties were broken in favor of who had the highest ranking in any poll.

THE CONSENSUS LIST TOP 30 PROSPECTS

    1. Ozzie Albies (150)
    2. Kolby Allard (147)
    3. Kevin Maitan (134)

Good stuff. Did you include mlb.com? Because they clearly haven't updated theirs. Acuna is still #18.

My five lists were Chop County, McCauley, MLB.com, Talking Chop and mine (Chop Country).

Just seems like we need to wait until all of them are updated.

I'll be happy to do so. Just don't know when that will be. Seems like a responsible site would have done so by now.

Allard and Fried are gonna be studs I think. I think the rotation centered around them and Julio and Folty in the not so distant future is gonna be amazing. Gonna bring back memories of the 90s.

For context, Goahara was around 3rd or 4th on most Mariners top 10 lists. He barely cracks the top 20 on ours
