I still hate that he got injuried. We could have gotten so much for a healthy Viz at the deadline.

    seems really unlikely

I was thinking Confronto for Viz plus a B prospect before we got Kemp. The Mets seem to think he's a platoon OF.

Yes, another arm, but I wonder how much the Mets would ask for Zack Wheeler these days.

And I hope that means we are more willing to deal him early this year when he's healthy. I don't have much confidence in him staying healthy for extended periods of time, plus we have a lot of bullpen prospects as is. Time to cash him in while we can.

Citing Vegas stats now? Come on dude. Nimmo is a meh prospect. He's a corner OF with average pop. Likely a platoon guy. We can do a lot better.

So basically you don't have any statistics to back you up, other than you just don't like the guy.

What statistics do you have? You should know PCL stats don't matter. Check the rest of his history and scouting report. He's just a guy. No better than Dustin Peterson.

Viz, Recker and Anfernee Seymore for Zach Wheeler.

Wheeler hasn't pitched in two years so there's a chance you get nothing. BUT, if he returns to anywhere near where he was, the Braves get a steal.

Outside of Viz, not much going back to the Mets either but Recker gives them a playable backup C and Seymore gives them a speed prospect.

Gamble on the Braves part but one I would be willing to take.

that seems about right. I seriously doubt Wheeler is ever as good as he was once billed, but Viz is a ticking time bomb.. Just hoping we can hold Viz till June and he flashes well. The Braves need to stop waiting until July to trade closers.

We need to trade Vizcaino before his elbow explodes. By the time he reaches free agency i expect him to start taking those Mark Prior type minor league deal for a few years.

You're right, every single hitter that has ever played well in the PCL have had useless stats. Dude was also a first rounder, so he has the pedigree... you're reaching. Again, you can't supply me any real reason why he's a 4th OFer

    Piss on Nimmo.

Reading up on Wheeler's progress. If he's good to go, he's controllable through 2019.

Viz is somewhat of a lottery ticket.

If another team values him as a legit high leverage BP arm, the Braves would be wise to trade him this very moment. If any team in the future ever presents the Braves an offer for Viz commensurate with a high leverage BP arm, they need to pounce immediately.

If all other teams view him as a huge risk and want him at a discount, then the Braves should keep him and be the ones to take that risk since they aren't playing for anything meaningful anyways.

That works for me - i'd gladly give 'em Viz and see what he can do
