Since I missed Matt Lipka being cut loose until he signed with the Rangers, it shouldn't surprise me I have missed others.

Catcher Tanner Murphy, who hit 6-28-.214 for Carolina in 90 games in 2016, was signed by the Colorado Rockies to a minor league deal.

Pitcher Brandon Cunniff, who was plucked out of the indy leagues and appeared in 54 games for the Braves in 2015-2016 (4-2, 4.50) signed with the Miami Marlins. Between Atlanta, Mississippi and Gwinnett last season, Cunniff appeared in 43 games, going 3-4, 3.25 with 4 saves.

Chris Withrow (who I knew was gone) signed with the Kansas City Royals. He appeared in 46 games for Atlanta last year, going 3-0 with 3.58 ERA. He also appeared in 12 minor league games (0-1, 5 saves, 4.25).

are you sure they were cut? They are 6 year Minor leaguers. They may have done Minor league FA.. I am remembering that rule correctly?!?

Murphy had played only four years. I'm sure you're right about Cunniff.

He was drafted by the Orioles in 2010, got cut after 2015, and signed on with the Winnipeg Goldeneyes for the 2016 season. He just got signed by the Rockies. The name/position is just a coincidence.
