The jury should have no pressure outside of simply doing their job in the justice system. If the jury had any pressure to convict beyond simply following the evidence and their instructions, then the trial was not fair and no justice was done.

Per the two police chiefs I spoke to recently, the legal system has made it all but impossible to fire bad apples without severe settlement money. If they do get fired, they just go to another police force

You're using a different definition of justice than the one he and the media are using, and have been using for a long time now. The dictionary will be updated to use their definition soon, if it hasn't been already.

Then there was no justice in this case regardless of the evidence. Justice is only achieved if the defendant gets full process. A jury under enormous outside pressure to convict means the defendant is denied a fair and impartial jury and so was denied full process. That makes any sentence handed down nothing more than dressed up revenge.

Justice is not achieved by reaching a correct result, justice is achieved by allowing a correct process.

No, and that might be a big problem on appeal. The defense requested it earlier this month and the judge refused. He also denied a change of venue, another thing that could be a problem on appeal.

Not in my experience. I'm not saying a large % of cops will willfully murder someone. That percentage is very likely very low. But from my experience (and from the word of actual cops), I feel confident that a large % of them cover up illegal **** for the "brotherhood."

They hugged the line. They failed to disclose some kind of test that showed the carbon monoxide levels to the defense. The defense brings in an expert that says Floyd could have been killed by the exhaust of the police car. The prosecution has a test that shows this theory is bogus but since they failed to promptly disclose it to the defense, it was inadmissible. They wanted the medical examiner to testify about this report and the judge allowed the ME to testify but said he couldn't mention the report. They got very close to it. A smart juror would have been able to infer the results from the context being discussed. It will undoubtedly be a part of the appeal.

This thing isn't over by a long shot. Lots of mistakes by the prosecution and the judge. The question is whether they were severe enough to overturn the conviction.

it was striking to see fellow cops testifying against Chauvin...it is a rare thing and to be applauded

They released the body cam footage of the Columbus shooting. This is why police should be begging for body cams. The girl who got shot had a knife in her hand, had another girl up against a car, and was actively trying to stab her when the cop shot. It's tragic that a 16 year old died but I can't really fault the cop there.

How would you feeling this happened to your wife or daughter and the sexual assualters face no consequences and they pay you off with tax payers money. 180k I guess is the going rate for vaginal and anal rape I guess.





And just to be clear all 3 cops involved in raping this woman are still active duty police officers. This is why they should burn **** down.
