Goalposts haven't moved. Racism is systemic in the criminal justice system. Our system of policing, as it currently exists, is bad and harmful to society; this affects all races, but minorities feel it the most. These are basic realities that shouldn't be controversial. The fact that conservatives in this thread refuse to accept these simple facts shows exactly why people are protesting.

Basic realities evidenced by what? Where is the obvious abnormalities in the data which prove this?

If its as bad as you all say the answer to this question should be simple.

Scale back budgets, reinvest in things that actually help the community, reorient how we think about justice. Not calling for literally anarchy.

Criminal justice is different than policing.

And correlation is not causation.

Its an economic issue first and foremost.

In an interview with The Post, they shared what they found: “Blacks are almost twice as likely to be pulled over as whites — even though whites drive more on average,” “blacks are more likely to be searched following a stop,” and “just by getting in a car, a black driver has about twice the odds of being pulled over, and about four times the odds of being searched.” They found that blacks were more likely to be searched despite the fact they’re less likely to be found with contraband as a result of those searches.

ETA... if you reviewed 1 per minute non-stop, it would take 38 years.
