He's defending the mission. He says that it was something the generals had been preparing for well in advance, but, all things considered, they still lost Ryan.

Your read here is extremely narrow and seems unduly influenced.

Even if we're going to spend an inordinate amount of time rationalizing why he went with 'they' instead of 'we' ... he takes some degree of culpability one breath later ('I can understand ... I can understand why they'd feel that way...')

It's Trumpish, sure, but I think we've heard enough of him to know when he's dancing and when he's attempting sincerity.

You have fun with all of that false outrage though.

    #theresistance and all that.
So what you are saying is , great speech and you don't care if 80% was fiction, but great speech.

I'm saying great speech ... still waiting on you to provide proof (beyond dubious crowd-sourced fact checking) that refutes any of it as 'fiction' ...

So what number would you ascribe, 35-40 ?

Like I said, even Bush43 "Yellowcake Speech"
    had 4 or 5 max

Perhaps this might be a good time for you to reexamine the political whats and wherefores you hold so dearly

I know you didn't read the whole article -- but you realize that it supports my perspective, right?

If you are searching for a case study in confirmation bias, look no further than the 'let's see what sticks' approach taken by those opposed to the Trump administration.

    This is the literal quote.

If you get 'blaming the Generals' out of that, then it's on you.
how do you read that and not agree that the buck stops everywhere except him for something he signed off on?

    yes

those 1st 2 lines are equal

but if trump would like for me to stop criticizing him, maybe stop doing dumb ideas or being a POS.

Bernie has come out and said he would work with him if he wanted to do infrastructure ideas etc. i agree with that, i agree with his idea of giving everyone insurance for ANYTHING they want etc

the guy is a ****ing liar though and that is proven over and over again. he is a demagogue who isn't grounded in reality for most of the **** he spews.

but yeah, hypocrite. lol lol lol
