Or they were both Schizophrenic/bipolar. But I guess it's easier to blame the drug as the cause of the problem, not recognize it as the coping mechanism that they usually are.

I remain a sucker for harmony

Brand new video. Home Free reveals Urban's ballad as the Motown standard it would have been 40 years ago.

    Henley Keeps Trying ...

... but Eagles fans keep loading the Houston concert video with Felder and Walsh doing this song. Saw it live during that tour and it is simply the best live song the Eagles ever performed. This amateurish video clip, which apparently has been beneath Henley's radar, still shows that Felder made them a better band. To me, he made them the Eagles I loved. In this clip, on this song, they were Felder and Walsh's backup band. Eat it, Henley.

Saving this before network gremlins make it disappear forever. Wonderful vocals.

Nice. The ex-guitar player for the Red Hot Chili Peppers used to do a solo cover of that song live during RHCP concerts. Granted he can't sing that high but it's a pretty sweet cover

Bastards at NBC. We'll try to find it again. Starts at 4:40; you might want to pass on the first song.

Best version of an old song on the best record I've found in weeks. John David Souther passed on joining the Eagles, but his voice is so much like Glenn Frey, with whom he co-wrote many hits for Eagles and Ronstandt. This version of "New Kid" just takes me back. SO special...

Through a total accident of song surfing on YouTube, I discovered Eva Cassidy and my heart was touched by God. She died in obscurity of a melanoma back in 1996 at the age of 33. But her music survived thrived and she is a star in hearts and minds of anyone who finds her. This was the song that led to her selling 30 million record in England. You will feel rewarded if you listen.

Greatest cover of a Beatles song ever, period. And it's a Ringo song! Saw GS live when they filled in at Riverbend for, I believe, Jerry Lee Lewis, and it was the greatest night of rock that stale festival ever saw until Drive-By Truckers hit town. When found a live version, had to share it.

If you like GS and Drive by you should check out the first Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju hounds self titled record. Izzy recorded that record when he quit Guns N’ Roses. I believe his guitar player (rick Richards) was also the guitar player in GS. Some pretty good songs on there

    Ain't My Fault!

Don''t know which I like better, the song or the video. But live they add a tasty guitar solo that brings it in around 9 minutes. So we'll stick with the original.

My Favorite Holiday Song this year

Hope this isn't heresy, but Little Big Town could easily be the next Manhattan Transfer and still be huge in country music. This is so damn classy.

I rarely have an Oh My God reaction to a video or song, but Haley Reinhart (as in third behind Scotty and Laurel) has hooked up with Postmodern Jukebox and has torn up a few rock songs with some New Orleans soul. Radiohead's Creep doesn't deserve her, but DAMN ...

For a concept show one day, I want to feature the best songs written or released since 2000. The criteria is that, genre doesn't matter, but it has to be a song that has a memorable melody, allows you to hum or sing along, is a song that would be appealing 50 or 100 years from now and hopefully crosses over beyond its original scope.

My first, tentative list in NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

The Rising (2002) -- Bruce Springsteen
    You and I (2111) -- Lady Gaga
You Raise Me Up (2002) -- Secret Garden
    Beautiful Day (2000) -- U2
    Happy (2013) -- Farrell Williams
    Crazy (2005) -- Gnarls Barkley
Never Wanted Nothing More (2007) -- Kenny Chesney
Colder Weather (2010) -- Zac Brown Band
    Rehab (2006) -- Amy Winehouse
I Hope You Dance (2000, barely) -- Lee Ann Womack
Seven Nation Army (2003) -- White Stripes
Blue Ain't Your Color (2016) -- Keith Urban
    HeyYa (2003) -- Outkast
    Drink A Beer (2013) -- Luke Bryan/Chris Stapleton
    Stay (2007) -- Sugarland
**I Should Have Known It (2010) -- Tom Petty

    ** Guilty Pleasure

What have I missed? What should be deleted without delay? Be open minded; if you have a reaction, find it and listen to it one more time.
