Rico's tremendous musical taste rocking your face

With header, I'd better deliver, huh? The year this came out, I heard nothing better ...

The great Ian Mclagan on the keyboard. Passed away in 2014. This clip is a pretty nice tribute.

    Dire Straits Lives!

With EmmyLou Harris, no less. This 100 times better live. A Formula One song; go figure.

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, the great Van Morrison. Read where doctors love to play this during a tough surgical procedure.

Hope an album of Covers is forthcoming

Don't know why this one surprised me so much the first time I heard this. These guys can do anything. Promise I won't overkill one band, but this is the stuff I'm listening to these days.

Live, the group allows its "backup band" plenty of time in the spotlight.

Never understood why this song or band weren't more on the radar. Do yourself a favor and find the plugged-in version of this song as part of the Moondance Show DVD. Will NOT be disappointed. Sorry that I don't know how to edit out a cut on a YouTube concert.

Steven Rea had one hit in the US, then continued to turn out excellent records for another 25 years. A knopfler-like picker. This a tribute to a car, not the race, but a great compilation video.

There are about five versions of this out there. This is the NEC live take. Best by far.

Springsteen covering Chuck Berry is music-making magic

Few bands in the world can answer a challenge like E Street. This was a moment that was never duplicated.

One day, the Drive-By Truckers finally aspired to be great...

... they had flirted with greatness before, but here they finally kissed greatness on the mouth.

If I were king (or Jann Wenner) these are my Rock and Roll Hall of Fame picks

    1. Doobie Brothers (McDonald era was sublime, but THIS is what I want to hear from the Doobies)

    3. ELP. Aim for the stars and occasionally you shoot the moon. Or something like that. Most ambitious band I ever loved. RIP Keith and Greg.

    5. Atlanta Rhythm Section. It will never happen in a million years, but I know they were a great band and can content myself knowing I have better taste that the ***ts who run the Hall of Fame.

    Forget Not the Original

Carlos Santana was stealing from the best from the very beginning.

Peter Green is still around, miraculously. His Mac was as great in its own way. Probably better. Hell, definitely better.

Peter Green lost his mind due to LSD like Syd Barrett (Pink Floyd) but luckily Peter resurfaced.
