    Another mock: http://herosports.com/mlb/baseball-m...s-haseley-c6c6

I'll take that with a grain of salt though. Royce Lewis falling to 22, saying teams are nervous about his down April. Braves get Beck at 5, Gore falls to 11. Weird mock.

Their draft goes McKay, Greene, Gore, Lewis, Wright.

I really like Kyle Wright, and while I understand the love for a lot of the HS players, he'd be a really good get for us. I just don't think it happens.
Wright would be a great pick, a true ace potential arm, which is pretty rare. He'd instantly be the highest upside arm in our system. I don't think we have a single pitcher projected with true ace potential. Allard and Anderson are both said to be #2 potentials, though I think it's really difficult projecting the guys who do actually become true aces.

I'd be thrilled with this, but shocked if Wright made it to us.

That is a terrible mock draft. Some of the stuff this guy says shows he isn't following the players performances that much. He has Adell dropping due to a high k rate this year, wtf. Exact opposite of reality. Lewis dropping to 22? Laughable. He says D.L. Hall is the top prep lefty in the draft and Gore going 11th. Seems like the guy doesn't really follow the draft very closely.

Wright with another ridiculous start tonight. McKay was just alright yesterday, saw on twitter he was just 88-91.

I really don't think it's a stretch for Wright to end up going 1-1.

    Kyle Wright's last 5 starts. 39.3 IP, 12 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 7 BB, 51 Ks. 1.14 ERA. 4 dominant starts, one mediocre one.

Also found an article in MacKenzie Gore's hometown paper about his rise. It includes glowing quotes from a Braves scout: http://www.starnewsonline.com/sports...aft-draws-near

A couple more starts and he will be the top 1-1 candidate ahead of Greene and McKay.

Seems like you get conflicting reports on his fastball. Seems like Law downplayed it in a recent chat, but flashing 96 in high school with a frame to build on doesn't sound too bad.

Think it's getting close to being a toss-up between Beck and Wright at this point - assuming they're there at #5, of course.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Wright almost certainly won't be, at least from the mock drafts I've seen. Beck probably will.

Yeah I think Wright has a better shot at going 1 than being available at 5.

The fit with Gore just feels so obvious to me. I feel like the only way we don't take him is if he isn't there at 5.

While I would prefer to see a bat taken, Gore at 5 will be much better than Anderson at 3.

I would love to see the numbers on WAR values for pre-draft rankings.

With Beck, Gore, and Wright we will get a really good player. That is if Coppy stays to script and don't wander off.
