I don't claim to know it all. I've never seen Wright pitch. Seems like some really like him and others think he's a solid middle of the road guy.
I prefer my prospect ranks on ceiling first and probability second

    Acuna
    Maitan
    Allard
    Albies
    Wright
    Anderson
    Newcombe
    Soroka

Take away Acuna's stretch where he had an insane BABIP, and he isn't as shiny. Maitan is too far away to beat out Albies and Wright, despite having the highest ceiling in the system.

Wright is about as sure a bet to be a #3 SP producing 3 WAR per year as a drafted pitcher can be. The only reason Albies ranks higher is because as a 3+ WAR position player he is less risky.

I have a hard time understanding how anyone can rank Wright as anything other than the top pitcher in the system. I can certainly understand ranking those position players ahead of him though.

Again I've only read About him. Some seem like o love the fb. There seems to be some confusion on four seem vs 2. I think he had both. Some say fb is low 90s with big time movement he can control. Others seem to not be so high on the fb...maybe just bc it's 92 and not 95.

Lefties get a premium. Allard is 19 and a boss in aa. I think I've seen more ppl thinking allard could be a tor than Wright

My friend talked to a scout who said Allard is too small and doesn't have an out pitch.

We got the best player in the draft. Pretty unreal. I'd put him #3 overall in our system behind Acuna and Albies. Already a top 20 guy in all of milb.

I have to have Soroka in front of him personally. What he has done as a professional and his ability to develop more has him as our top pitching guy. I am little less on Allard as I don't see the elitness yet. I would go Soroka/Wright/Newk as our pitching prospect order. But easy to argue anyone in any order
