I wish every once in a while one of these threads wouldn't devolve to the same arguments that have been happening since 2015.

Arguing is fine! I dare say good. It's the similarity of arguments that's dry.
It's just a shame because I've noticed more and more of the long time posters falling away. I can't imagine anybody is enjoying readying the same three or four people debate Frank Wren, Heyward, Markakis, service time manipulations (though that one is more forgivable), etc.
Anyways, carry on with what you were discussing. I'll head back on my high horse to the top of my ivory tower back to my glass house.
I've shared my thoughts numerous times in debates (as recently as threads related to the Swanson call up) about whether we should have called Heyward up for the opening day roster his rookie year and how that forced us to trade him a year early (and subsequently had to give Markakis that horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrriadufasoufoble contract).
I know you're joking here btw. I'm more light heartedly illustrating how silly and drawn out these topics are.

I remember the debate happening then. I was a younger guy then, and REALLY wanted Heyward to be up for opening day. It was emotional and not rational.
Had we waited, we may have either not torn everything down or have gotten a better return for the trade... Logically, it just didn't make sense.
Although it could be argued that he was the difference between playoffs and not... and I could buy that
"I'm here for an argument."
"Well, you're in the wrong place. This is abuse."

I always said that Freddie would be a .300/.400/.500 guy and would hit 30+ homers some years, but most disagreed.

Freddie and Chipper...wOBA by age
23 FF .387 CJ .354
24 FF .374 CJ .399
25 FF .364 CJ .368
26 FF .402 CJ .410
27 FF .553 CJ .447
Of course Freddie's age 27 sample is a small one. Chipper was MVP in his age 27 season.
