    AHCA

An amendment in the GOP health-care-reform bill will allow states to deny coverage for preexisting conditions, including sexual assault.

Pre-Obamacare rape survivors who sought treatment for their injuries could be denied health care later on. Under Obamacare, preexisting conditions were guaranteed to receive coverage — among them, sexual assault. The American Health Care Act is going to change that.

There's so much bad about this it's hard to know where to start.

It's a dead letter in the Senate, anyway.

    Not so sure about that.

I would like this to be an exaggeration, but it's not: Republicans just voted for a bill that will kill a large number of Americans

More fake news. Please use more reliable source that explains it.

It still not what I would hope for (it doesn't matter, my company provide me with insurance that is really affordable and might go down because of this).

No one can be denied in this bill, but those with pre-existing will have to pay more for a year and then it depends on the States on how the premiums are setup, but no one can be denied and there is cap on how much an insurance can charge you (more likely they will go max).

The sexual assault part is not in the bill at all so I do not know where that came from but from that site one must wonder.

Here is a link from a mainstream newspaper.

USA Today is nice for what they do - but hardly contains in depth analyses
With all due respect, like Hawk, you may find the "why's" these articles conclude not to your liking but you can not deny they consistently have their who, what's when's and where's in order.
So, let's discuss the bill and not which source of information is or isn't valid.

Doesn't it suck when an unpopular bad bill gets rammed down our throats?

Let me point out, I think the bill sucks for the most part I am just trying to make a point that you trying to make that people can be denied and they can't, no way no shape or form unless they don't pay for it.

Under ACA you are force to pay, the new one you are not but then you are at risk if you fail to pay by penalty of 30%

I am addressing the DENIED part of your statement and the RAPE/ASSAULT part as well. It is an outright LIE. or we say FAKE news from a site that is way LEFT and the 2nd site just as bad. The sites I gave you are neutral sites and well known.

I do not have to worry about this because my company pay for my health insurance and it isn't going up, but maybe down and I have it good. I just worry about the mom and pop shops that have to provide insurance for workers that work more than 20 hours a week.

Another main stream site. Still nothing about denying coverage for pre-existing or about rape or something like that.

I want to see main stream sites information and explanation, not some fringe sites with a very biased and slanted article.

"The removal one of the two regulations, community ratings, could result in some people with preexisting conditions being charged more for insurance and priced out of the market, experts say. That possibility drove some moderates away from the AHCA, leaving the bill seemingly short of the needed votes to pass it.

There are concerns, however, that the waivers could have other unintended effects, such as gutting protections for employer-based coverage and ending funding for special-education programs at schools. "

Trumpcare passed the House Thursday, on the belief that people who get ill or old or poor are pretty much Moochers who asked for it, and who the Makers shouldn’t be burdened with helping.

    57 seems upset.

Every time he posts a Stat about health care being worse... I'll mock him for it and tell him he doesn't understand.

Health insurance does not equal healthcare. There are hundreds of hospitals around the country who provide healthcare to the uninsured including cancer treatments, etc. Why are these treatments so expensive in the first place? Will more government control of "insurance" improve these prices?

Almost certainly. Look at stats in Single payer countries vs. USA.

I don't say this much, but thank you 57 for seeing my point.

not getting on you for this, this, this, WTF crappy ass, abomination of a bill. I was just getting you on the site and the DENY coverage for rape when it is not the truth but if you have to pay for it is costly. It is something I hate when people do it as it is misleading and "gotcha", which I absolutely detest.

This bill is even worse before ACA was enacted. It royal screws anyone that is not rich if you got a bed bug bite. I hate to see the deductibles, I bet they are horrendous.

I guarandamnteeyou I will not be voting Republican anything in the near future forever for this crap.

...and it doesn't even affect me that is how pissed off I am about it.
