I doubt Castro is a prospect. He's going to be 23 later this month and he's a guy without a position. But I'll take 5/5 with 3 dingers any day of the week.

On another note, Bradley Roney pitched an inning and didn't walk anybody. Are those ominous clouds I see and an angel choir I hear?

what a bunch of crap. again.. minor league ball, but Joey just K'd on a 3-2 pitch that was eye level.. How that ump called that strike 3 is beyond CB Douchner level retard. runners were already at 2nd and 3rd. only down 1.

positive note.. Acuna hit the ball hard every at bat. even his out was a screamer to SS.. his walk had a ball he just missed.

Acuna with another easy 3 for 4 day with a bomb and a walk. I hope he finds AA even a little bit challenging.

Sweet. Mississippi might turn into another 2016 Rome juggernaught the second half of the year.

The obvious question now is what they'll do to fill Gohara's spot. There aren't any guys who make sense going from the bullpen to the rotation, so I'd imagine it would be someone from Rome.

I still think they want to give guys full seasons at Rome if possible, like they did with Fried, Soroka, Touki and (kind of) Allard last year. I'd imagine they want to give Anderson, Wilson and Wentz a full season there, and Walker hasn't been very good. I'd guess it's Lawlor getting moved to Florida, and I wonder if they'd push Muller to take his spot in Rome. Will be interesting to watch.

    Well nevermind...

.@TheRomeBraves announce roster move: RHP Andres Santiago transferred to A+ () and Rome receives RHP Luis Mora from extended spring.

Is Ryan Clark--who had a rough season in Carolina in 2016--still in the system? Injured perhaps if he is. He would be a candidate for the Florida pitching staff at some point if he hasn't been released.

Edit--Did a quick check and Clark was released at the end of spring training.

I assume Enderson Franco begins to start some games for the time being.

This should be right. It was a surprise that Muller was left behind after spring training.

Castro needs to be bumped to AA to see if he really can be a prospect

We have the worst bench in the history of baseball. Could he be a pinch hitter for us if he's not a prospect?

Honestly...if we have a guy who's 23-25 and has no position but has a hit tool can we grab that guy and put him on our bench? If we get an injury we can option someone up who can play a position. There have to be some of those guys around the minors.

Wonder if they'd consider jumping him to AAA if they promote a AAA guy. Coppy looking to have gone 0-3 with 1 year pitcher vets.
