I didn't think anything of it when people offered it as a defense yesterday, but maybe there is something to the idea that he wasn't being challenged enough at A+ by the pitchers there. Of course, maybe he also has just hit a hot stretch as he begins AA.

But I'll decide to hope for now that he's even better than his A+ performance suggested.

Have yourself a day Carlos Castro. 3 HRs and 7 RBIs and we are only in the 5th inning.

From what I've read, he could easily move to a corner OF spot.

Longengahen and MLB.com both gave his arm a 55.

Not the Mississippi the game. Talking about Castro's 3 homers. One was 425 and the other 437.. didn't get tape on the line drive missile on his 3rd homer...

The last few weeks have been so promising from Riley. His K rate is now below what it was last year in Rome, his walk rate is starting to climb up, and he is hitting.

What's acuna's report card on defense? I see he has a fielding error today and failed to cut a ball off last night bc of bad angle

From what I've read, his speed and athleticism will allow him to play there but that he's mostly relying on that right now. Still working on his instincts.

He certainly won't be Andruw there.

After a bit of a slow start, the minors have been VERY encouraging of late. Acuna, Riley, TD, Plunk, Castro, Jackson, etc.... all picking it up.
