    I think we're definitely on a B-double-E double-R-U-N now.

I think going from 3rd worst to 5th worst to 6th worst is exactly the progress the FO was envisioning for the new stadium

If you want to talk about a franchise that's had a rough year in the rebuild department, it's Philly.

A solid, yet unspectacular farm. A lot of major league pieces that are stalling. JP Crawford, the one blue-chipper in the farm, pulling a Dansby in AAA.

Which is exactly why you can't just expect prospects to always pan out. Need a good blend of proven players to go alongside the young guns.

Maikel Franco failing to launch has to be a kick in the nuts for them too.

I don't think anyone would disagree with that. But you still have to acquire the young guns first. Develop them and then fill the gaps with proven players.

That is one really bad team. We're nothing to write home about obviously, but that is one terrible team. They can probably flip Hellickson (and he won't net much), but there's really nothing else of value that they'd be interested in trading. Elfin, Velazquez, Nola, and Eickhoff could develop into solid major league pitchers, but the rest of the team is comprised of old guys and some mid-ceiling guys in their 20s (Franco, Herrera, Altherr).

I'm surprised at how Herrera is hitting. They could have gotten something really nice for him if he was hitting like he did the last couple of years.

Not sure... but the Jose Fernandez dath probably threw a bit of a wrench into those plans

If we move up to the 10-12 range because we trade vets and the rookies are performing I won't be mad.

The fire sale should happen within the next month. Aside from Folty I could see all of our pitchers up for sale. Adams/Kemp/Markakis/Phllips/Johnson/Viz. So many guys.

    I'm sentimental for Muk.

Id trade the others in a heartbeat. But Muk was here when the rebuild started. He's been riding it out til now.
