We controll him until he's 30 now anyway, right? Let him play and if he sucks then we can move him into the pen.
Speaking of the mental part, he sure seemed to handle adversity well today. When I first took a second to look at Gameday, it was after three. No way I thought he'd go seven after looking at the line after three.

Honestly, I'd be ok with calling Newcomb up pretty soon. I feel like the rest that he has to learn he might as well go ahead and start learning at the major league level. I wouldn't expect him to have tons of success right away, but he'll turn 24 next month. Might as well give him a shot and see what he can do.

Ditto for Sims and "maybe" Blair if he can put some starts together. Wisler needs to be traded....needs a reset if he has any chance.

Not sure I see the wisdom or the point in trading Wisler, at this juncture—though it's certainly been bandied about plenty around here.

The shine's off dude in a major way; he's all but worthless to any organization but the Braves, but he does still hold value to them, since they've sunk substantial trade-value and time into him. Meanwhile, it's unlikely any team trades anything but stinkier garbage for Wisler, so the Braves might as well be patient and see if he can ungarbage himself for their roster.

I guess....as long as he is not blocking anyone in AAA in the future.

Wisler is on a short lease to the pen. I don't see him blocking anyone of significant status. As soon as someone pushes him out, he is BP

Weigel, Sims and Newcombe need to replace Garcia, Colon and Dickey by the deadline.

So if he can stick at 3B, that would be big for him. And perhaps the concerns about his bat speed aren't quite what they seemed to be.
Hmmm, I wonder if there is another position we could try him at.

We heard gattis couldn't catch and he's catching for a first place team

We've had ajp catch for us.

I think he can get a full yr or two before we say he can't do it

Agreed, with one change. I would test Blair (if he puts some good starts together in the 5th spot), and give Weigel some time in AAA...unless of course...he's killing it.

Sanchez is another overlooked pitcher that could become a MOR starter.

Been a pretty disappointing start to the season for Fried after all the spring training hype. Hopefully he gets it turned around.

Only 1 walk and no XBH. I can live with it.
