There are still elements of bad luck in that, though. If a blooper falls in and he gives up a 2B and a HR, there's a chance that all of those were fairly unlucky events. And there's probably a good chance that bad luck played a part in them being strung together like that. But in the stat sheet, it just appears as '1B, 2B, HR' and it looks like he lost it for a minute.
I'm not trying to say that his ERA would be 1.50 were it not for bad luck, but most of his numbers suggest he should probably be well under 4.00 at least. If his ERA stays where it is while he continues pitching like this, then it becomes harder and harder to say it's a lack of luck and perhaps he's just throwing a couple meatballs all the sudden. But as it is, I think we should expect the results to improve significantly.
