Our starting pitching has been our problem more than anything.

Infield defense has been a problem more than outfield actually.

    Offense has been fine.

BP has righted the ship for the most part.

So...unless Kemp is a starting pitcher...he is not the problem.

Kemp is definitely not a problem. He's a bad defender who mashes and so far he's mashed enough to earn what it cost the Braves to acquire him.

Really the problems have been 3B, short, the bench, and the rotation in no particular order.

Kemp sucks? Geez...that's the difference between someone who knows baseball versus some one who can just interpret a spreadsheet.

Is this the same difference for people who thought Jeff Francoeur was a good hitter in 2006?

You need a mix. Only have one of eit her direction is a recipe of success. But anyone that says Kemp sucks knows absolutely nothing about baseball.

As opposed to....you? What have you demonstrated other than the ability to be an unflappable homer?

Let me ask, what was the highest level of baseball you ever played?

I agree as far as scouting goes. For player evaluation? Stats have that handled pretty good. Kemp doesn't suck but he's not a good player either. He's also overpaid but fairly compensated for what the Braves added in payroll.

I'm fine with this statement. I do think scouting is more important with younger players but definitely loses its edge when a siffucient sample size has been created.

So what, exactly, makes you so knowledgeable about the game? Years of sitting on your fat ass in Swampwater, GA watching games on TV?

He at least knows about the game from a player's perspective. What does thethe have? What is his baseball acumen based in? Watching TV?

I'm waiting for your qualifications, but I'm sure you'll just spew out more deflections.

Sorry but playing the games means nothing in terms of talent evaluation

Again, you haven't done ****. You can go ahead and admit it...we all know.

So again, what makes you qualified to "know about the game"? Why is your opinion on Kemp more accurate than the analytical view?

    Still waiting...

Ask thethe, he apparently knows the game better than folks that think Kemp is a below average overall player.

Using all information available. Some real world experience playing and coaching. Lots of hours watching the game. I think the people that truly know baseball have all those things. Not many out there. But you don't need all those to realize that Kemp doesn't suck.

I would agree with that. The only thing I will say is adjectives like 'suck', 'good', 'bad' etc are all subjective. A player you might consider good I might say is above average. With that being said Kemp has proven to not even be an average player statistically the past few seasons. Right now he is playing at a level that is better than average but of course there is no guarantee that continues through the rest of the season.
