Hansen might have been the steal of the draft if he keeps progressing on control. his curve is devastating. That being said, someone on the Rome staff needs to tell the hitters to break his rhythm up just a bit. They are completely letting him dictate the pace.
He's also 22 in A-ball, and his results thus far have been pretty good but nothing dominant.Originally Posted by bravesfanMatt
No this is not stat based comment. this is just watching him pitch. when he has control like today, his curve is brutal. I mean very nasty pitch.
Yeah, his stuff has always been really good, there's no doubt about that. He was a potential 1-1 during his junior year, after all. It's always been the control, so I'm sure when he's on he looks completely filthy.
I guess I just mean that everyone knew he might be the steal of the draft. It always hinged on him figuring out his control issues.
Acuna with a walk already
Acuna may have just needed pitchers to challenge him more. Had 8 BB and 40 K in 126 PA in Florida. Now has 4 BB and 4 K in 30 PA in Mississippi.
