He's having a bad day. Guess what, we spanked Cole last night...he had a bad night. Every pitcher has a bad game now and then. It's funny that he still struck guys out...his stuff is there. He has improved from last year overall. Let's see what he does next start. He is never going to be one of those "great control" guys. His stuff is good enough though, he will at worst be a BOR or closer.

I can appreciate the consistent posi-Brave spin though. Good performance means he is improving. Bad performance is just a bad day.
Who is bashing him. We beat cole. Cole didn't beat himself. Newk is good. Just frustrating at times.

I am. The braves have developed 1 pitcher in the last 25 years. Newcomb is just another Whalen or de la Cruz. You posi-braves are some real pieces of southern trash work.
Not saying anyone is bashing him, rather he can have three good games, and as soon as he has a bad one everyone freaks out. Everyone of our starting pitchers have had bad nights and been lit up. I remember we made Chris Sale look horrible last year. I think Newk has made big strides while playing a level up this year. He's the type of talent that can have a horrible night and still give up one run. Didn't happen tonight of course. I think he'll take the Folty path (two steps forward and one step back). If he doesn't pout like a two year old when things don't go his way....he might end up better than Folty. He's the type after this year, that just needs brought up and let him learn.
