Feeling much better about Weigel after tonight. Worried he'd hit his ceiling.

Really good to see Acuna making adjustments and Soroka is a stud!

I'm loving seeing Soroka's dominance continue in AA. This is a big test for him. Sometimes you get pitchers in the low minors who dominate because they're just more advanced than their competition. These guys tend to see their number deteriorate as they move up the system and their competition catches up. So Soroka continuing to put up big numbers is a good sign that his success wasn't based wholly on him simply being more polished.

Soroka has seen his BB rate increase a little. He's walking 2.59 per 9 now as opposed to 2.01 last year. Still, that's not a big jump and it's still a really good rate. His HR rate has jumped a little too. He's giving up 0.92 HRs per 9 now as opposed to his ridiculous 0.19 per 9 last year. But the really encouraging thing has been the increase in his K rate. Last year he K'd 7.87 per 9 but this year that has jumped to 9.43 per 9.

To see Soroka go to AA at 19, post an excellent ERA, maintain a good BB rate, and see his K rate jump by more than 1 per 9 is really exciting.
