New fangraphs article today that pretty much confirms what a lot of us have seen early on for Sun Trust.

You might not be able to tell from traditional park-factor data, but the new Atlanta ballpark appears to be much more hitter friendly than its predecessor. The fly balls hit by the Braves and their opponents to data haven’t been hit all that hard (“should have” resulted in .301 AVG-.846 SLG to date), but have actually resulted in much more production (.345 AVG-1.008 SLG, 137.9 Fly Ball Park Factor). In all of MLB, almost exactly 15.0% of fly balls hit between 95-100 mph have gone over the wall this season; 22.0% of such flies have done so in this new yard.
Flyballs get demolished here and we have seen that particularly with Julio and Folty as far as their spits go. Overall Atlanta is one of the best hitting parks so far this year but when you just include flyballs it ranks 3rd behind Cincy and Coors. Launching Pad 2.0 indeed.
