Any chance this guy gets a shot in our rotation?

    Gwinnett:

    52.1 IP, 2.75 ERA, 57 SO, 8 BB, 9.8 K/9, 1.38 BB/9, .336 BABIP, 2.87 FIP, 2.59 xFIP

Andrew Albers - I really don't know much about the guy, but he's throwing really well

In the rotation? Unlikely. As a bullpen guy, probably.

From a scouting report when he was 27 (4 years ago), he was consistently 85-88 and more often at the bottom end of that range. So, not great.

This is SUCH a harsh characterization. He won TWO GAMES with the Twins in 2013. But he is clearly having the best year of his cabaer

Albers is probably a AAAA guy, but he has masterful control and sometimes a guy like him can turn into a bullpen contributor. Pretty good splits so he could develop into a LOOGY. One can never tell with pitchers. It can all come together late. Not saying that will happen here, but I am not going to dismiss him.
