Of course I've been following everyone in the minors but I've never seen him pitch besides YouTube vids...now I know it's still early but color me impressed by that 1st inning

Ok. The results were good. But I don't like that he wasn't getting the ball inside to righties. He misses right usually a long day. There where three pitches specifically that were supposed to be inside and were over plate.
I was the first official overreaction, and I want it on the books.
Matt says he loses control of his FB up and in to LHers for a stretch of a few batters. Seeing him long arm the ball and it totally makes sense. Any break down in timing and he will lose his release point.
Couldn't ask for a better start for the kid. First time seeing him pitch and just one inning, but very impressed.
Yeah, you can tell he doesn't have full command of it yet.

I could tell you and mistake were joking. That guy buck75 really thinks he was sticking it to the folks that don't want to see control years of valuable assets wasted, and that 1 inning was all the evidence he needs.
