Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
I think that pretty much ends his run here.
Braves DL -- 'Designated Losers'
...That's a shame....
He wasn't my favorite player, but his story was a good one nevertheless. He came from Cuba dirt poor and made his way to the big leagues at age 30 through the minor league free agent route and stuck around as a starter for a couple of years. He even was genuinely a good player in the second half last year.
While I hope his days as a Brave are over, I hope he has one last run in him.

I believe this is the opportunity for Rio Ruiz to take over for good!!
I wouldn't mind him coming back as a bench player. However, we need to go after Moustakas during the offseason.

Moustakas is Scott Boras player and probably will be very expensive plus he will want a 4 to 6 years contract. Braves dont deal with Scott Boras.
Beautiful.

While the Braves do need a 3B and Garcia isn't the answer and it's unlikely that Ruiz s the answer, Moustakas likely will be recruited hard by the Yankees who will also need a 3B and may even head there at the trade deadline
Play-off chances flying away!

Another option might be Trevor Plouffe. Only 31, was just DFA by Athletics. If he clears waivers, can be had for the minimum.

Plouffe's quite a story. 1st round pick of the Twins who was really struggling, but he scrapped like hell and made it to the bigs. Played just about everywhere on the diamond for the Twins except C and CF and had a couple of decent seasons. No world-beater, but a decent RH hitter off the bench who can play 3B and 1B and maybe some corner OF.
