I know some of these kids are going to be traded and I like the idea of Verlander but man it would be tough to trade either Newk/Gohara/touki.

Also, don't want to increase the return with Kemp added on. Just eat the salary for a bit longer and hope that playing him more sparingly keeps him fresher.

Touki has quietly had a big year in his development. Not sure now is the right time to trade him.

Not me. We need to be good 2020 on. If lucky we can be good this yr or next. Lucky.

Not enough control to give up anyone close to newk or gohara imo. They'd have to eat a ton.

    Mueller ir touki I'd deal.

I still think we shouldn't deal unless we get a bargain price and just be patient on our guys

I had enough with Uggla Part One. I want no part of Uggla Part Deux.

Again Touki has filled out...he looks like a grown man now. He is beginning to look GOOD. Gohora has done nothing but pitch well. I would rather deal Anderson. Anderson, Fried, Sims, Wisler and Blair are guys we should consider trading. Fact of the matter (although I'm not big on him)...Wisler has pitched well and Sims hasn't gotten a chance. You could very well all ready have the 5th starter ready.

Bottom line: We are NOT beating the Dodgers this year and we are not beating the Astros. Just wait one more year and let guys develop. I promise you, we start dealing guys like Touki and Gohora and it will be Wood all over again. One of these guys will turn into either a great starter or closer.

Well not all of Soroka, Allard, Wright, Gohara, Anderson will pan out, not even mentioning Newk or Folty as well as T.

This is why you build a deep system.

I agree it would be dumb to gut the farm for a big move and next year should be the time to make a move. But if we could make a move for Gray without dealing any of our top 6, i'd do it.

I like the idea, but they seem to believe they can be good in 2018.

Anderson seems to be injured and his velocity was way down last night. I think that takes him out of trade conversations.

Good Lord...he has low mileage and has been taken slow. Surely he doesn't need TJ already??

In a way I'm glad Weigel had TJ. He would have been a guy Coppy would have traded. Hopefully we hang in to him now.

I Watched Cueto his last two outings. Guy looks done. I know he blamed blisters last time but every ball the lowly Padres hit off of him was like it was fired out of a howitzer

My guess is he will not exercise his option to opt out this off-season. Ian Kennedy is another one who has to make a similar decision and I don't think he'll be opting out. Under those circumstances, I think both might be good "buy low" acquisitions this off-season.

Justin Upton has an option to opt out too this off-season. I think there is a chance he opts out. No Braves implications there, but I like keeping tabs on certain ex-Braves.

Frazier is actually good defensively though.

Nationals get Madson and Doolitte from Oakland for Blake Treinen, Jesus Lazardo, and Sheldon Neuse

Neuse is Washington's #6 prospect and Lazardo is their #10 prospect. Treinen is a decent reliever already for Washington but nothing to be worried about losing.

If I'm Oakland, I feel like I lost this trade. For those two relievers, I ask for two of Fedde, Soto, or Kieboom.

Why is Oakland so stupid. The reliever market is in favor of sellers and they just gave two away. good grief.

Wow, that's a terrible deal for the A's. Given how long he was under control, Doolittle should have been worth quite a bit. Beane has really gone downhill in trades in recent years.
