Not sure about him being a reliever or being a few years away. He's already doing well in AA, he's greatly improved his control, and is a lefty who throws upper 90s heat who now has a third pitch that is developing. I still think he's our highest ceiling SP prospect (that may change quickly with Wright).
The last I heard, his fastball and slider are a wicked combo, and his change up was rapidly improving with fantastic arm deception.

I think there's a less than 5 % chance we sign either, but I'm definitely not gonna get my panties all in a wad over it. You need to check your emotions at the door. Nobody cares what you think no matter how much you think you are somehow significant. Pop a xanax and get off line for an hour or so.
Bowman: The Braves have a top scout in Detroit this weekend. Verlander last night and Fulmer tonight. They'll continue to look for starting pitchers
With his control and stats, Fulmer is one of the only pitchers I'd be more than comfortable trading Albies in a package for.

And I would be in favor of Verlander provided the salary and prospects back worked out.
Has to be Verlander. Would be a pretty low cost in prospects. Would be a big name to please the casual fans. Would be majorly overpriced for the production he provides.
Seems like a perfect move for this FO to make honestly.
If he can be has for cheap assets, sure. But I could care less about going for Verlander. I'd LOVE Fulmer, though.
Hard not to be excited about the potential of Fulmer. However, I have to imagine he'd command a return centered around Acuna plus. Can't do that. If you can somehow pull off a miracle and get him without giving up Acuna, Albies, or Maitan... I guess go for it. If it happened I would assume Teheran would be traded. I'm willing to give up Swanson and Allard in a package for Fuller.
