Right. If he had a track record of staying healthy and pitching like that, it would be different. Or if he had a sub-3 ERA with like a 13+ k/9 (like a bunch of relievers these days have), it would be different. As it is, he's just an oft-injured, not completely dominant RP.

I obviously hope I'm wrong but I don't see him garnering a significant piece any time soon.

I am absolutely thrilled with Dansby. His start was just horrible, but he's been legitimately good for more than a month now. His errors have stopped a bit as well.

I'm glad he's doing better. I still don't see conerstone piece with him.

    Feels like Jeff Blauser.

I don't know. I think he seems like someone who just gets better. He is good defensively and will grow as a hitter.

Blauser had 3 seasons with an fWAR over 2 (granted, two of them were 5+).
I think Dansby will eclipse that number fairly easily.

Blauser put up two 5 WAR seasons.

    He was inconsistent though.

Feels like Dansby will fluctuate between 1-4 WAR pretty regularly

Felt like Blaussr only was good in contract years.
