Since the terrible 1-6 start, the braves are 32-32 and 17-17 without FF. They're better than you give them credit for.

I will start by saying that all games matter. And that the Braves have had an easy ass schedule so far. Still have like 18 games against all 3 of the great teams in the NL West. 6 against the Cubs and 3 more against Milwaukee. 9 more against the Nats and 2 against the Astros. Braves are still on pace for 75 wins. The low end of what I expected.

Can we just remove every team's worst 7 game stretch and judge them by the resulting record lol?

Milwaukee isn't all that great and the Cubs have been a major disappointment. The National League is full of trash teams this season. That's why the schedule was easy.

Hey, this is what we play for! Gotta win no matter what. It's been awesome watching Newcomb though.

Newcomb has been fantastic so far. All those control issues look to be a minor league thing versus a Newcomb thing.

Newcomb hasn't been wild at all. Pretty much all of his pitches are right around the zone so far. It's not like he misses by much. The thing that has seemed to get him so far is not being able to put hitters away and eventually walking them. But man, he was cruising last night after the 2nd. The Giants lineup certainly helped with that.

Really feels like some root against the team doing well.

People are too concerned with being "right" to a bunch of internet strangers. I'm enjoying the team exceeding my expectations right now. I don't care if it's "just the Giants, bro." I want to see them win games. I'm not sure others agree with that sentiment.
