Eh, Atlanta wasn't supposed to make the playoffs. Can't really complain especially with the issues that MLS teams usually have in their first year with depth.

I mean I'm torn. I love Giovinco and Altidore. But I really hate the **** that Precourt is doing to the Crew. It's shady and underhanded.

Sadly in many ways this squad is a more competitive squad than what arena trotted out. I'd certainly trust Brooks and Cameron/Ream/Miazga over Gonzalez and Besler.

Really would be nice to get a look at McKennie.

So after watching a bunch of replay stuff and looking at stats. Atlanta is poised to be the best team in MLS next year. Especially if they hold onto Almiron, Martinez, Pirez and Villalba. When you look at stats, only Toronto had a better whoscored rating than them, and that entire difference poofs away when you factor in a full season of Guzan. All they really need a CDM. Larentowicz was fine but he's old, if you can get someone in to pair with him. They filled their weakest point. Only other hole to fill is Garza who I think they may try and buy from Tijuana.

Man Atlanta is having themselves an offseason. After keeping Garza, they completed a trade for Darlington Nagbe, quite likely are gonna pick up Ezekial Barco (who'll either be loaned out to a different team or they'll sell Almiron or Martinez to open up a DP slot, or they could buy down Villalba's contract with GAM or TAM or whatever and still get Barco. Imagine an atlanta side with attacking options in Almiron, Martinez, Barco, Villalba, Carleton, and I'm forgetting one of the kids they have. But anyway there's some heavy hitters in Atlanta, and that's not factoring the potential of them bringing back Asad. If Atlanta has the payroll flexibility to pull it off, we're looking at potentially the best attakcing team in MLS history. THe horses they have would be beyond what we've seen in MLS. And the kicker is that Atlanta is getting a lot of these guys because of Tata. Barco is being called potentially the next Sergio Aguero, and Atlanta is bringing him to MLS on the back of Tata with extra resources on spending. THey're changing the game and it's amazing.

A little over halfway through the league, City have established themselves as the clear front runners. Scoring the most goals and concedeing the least, it looks less like a real team and more like my team when I play FIFA.

United and chelsea in a tight 2/3 race Liverpool and Tottenham just behind thme in 4/5 and Arsenal in 6th but with a game in hand could move up to level with Tottenham.

On the other end Swansea seem firmly planted in the bottom of the table. They're only 5 points from the safety zone but as the season draws on that gets harder to make up. Small brightspot for them, even after a 4-0 thrashing by Liverpool, their goal differential isn't that far out fo line with other teams near the bottom.

    140 million pounds for Coutinho.

Now question if the summer rumors are true and Pulisic will be his replacement.I don't think they'll do it because they have soooo much money. They'll probably make a bigger splash. But I can see Klopp going for one of his old players.

Haven't heard the Mahrez confirmation. That sounds like too much for him (unless you're talking USD) Lemar will be interesting. Also targetting Draxler who is a German and out of favor IIRC at PSG.

I want Arsenal to unload Sanchez.

Keep Ozil and get Mahrez or Draxler. Lemar would be good too. Arsenal need to back to the days of just our scoring everyone.

Who would buy Sanchez though? They had a chance to sell him to City, City has the league wrapped up and can sign him to a pre contract. If he wants to go to City he doesn't have to agree to leave now.

Eric lichaj. Good enough to score a brace against arsenal in the fa cup, but somehow not better than Graham zusi #arenalogic

Heading into the final couple of weeks of the premier league. City has the top spot all but locked up. UNited are mathematically in it but realistically out of it as they're 13 points back with a maximum to gain of 18. Same with Spurs as they're 17 back with 18 to gain but there's no way City lose every game from here on out. United are looking locked into Champions League. Chelsea in the 5 spot are 14 points back with 18 left to gain. Chelsea and Arsenal ahve a shot though not a great one at sneaking into the UCL. Liverpool is at 67 points but with 33 games played. Chelsea at 57 and Arsenal at 54 with 32 games played could possibly sneak in if Liverpool's form falters. Liverpool short of falling miserably to city (3-0 lead on aggregate) should make it comfortably through to the UCL semis so they may be resting guys in Premier league matches leaving them vulnerable. Tottenham are also sitting on 67 points with 32 games. THey look to have a very good shot of moving to the Champions League again and will probably hope for a top 3 seed. Though United, Tottenham, and Chelsea are alive in the FA Cup So that weekend may give Arsenal a shot at reclaiming some points.

Holy **** Roma. Also lol city. This is the only match that mattered pretty much all season. And they lost. Much less recovered the aggregate

This is a sad day for me. This is like when Bobby Cox stepped down. Both Managers are so similar in what they did for their clubs.

The Arsenal defense this year has been like watching Brooks Conrad screw up all season. Even when Wenger has played perfect tactical games, the defense still let him down or the goals missed barely. Arsenal have definitely played better than their record this year. Hope all the whiny fans are happy with this.

Arsene is a legend. Arguably the second best manager of the Premier League era. But it was past his time. He didn't have it anymore. The excuse in his defense for mediocrity the handful of season when Chelsea, United, and City dominated the top was that they weren't spending money to pay for Emirates. But they're spending money now. Arsenal's wage bill is a lot closer to United and City than it is to Liverpool, the next team below them.

It's clear that Arsene is a legend of a former era. But he's outclassed now by guys like Pep, Poch, and Klopp. Not to mention Jose is still better.
