Question is, will a team in January win the Jadon Sancho derby. United have been hot on him for some time. He's young and English so I imagine United, City, Liverpool, any team in England would love to bring him in.

Gregg and Jay Berhalter have gots to go. They're garbage, I think anyone who follows US Soccer even casually can get equal or better results than Berhalter. I mean considering opponents. Sarachan got better results last year (beating Mexico, drawing to France, beat Paraguay, and fought hard vs. Italy losing only at the death)

About 1/3 of the way through the EPL season, Table is a bit wonky.

Liverpool being top isn't shocking, Leicester's form is insane, only conceding 8 goals is almost certainly not maintainable but they very easily could be looking at an EPL slot given their current form. Chelsea has looked great so far, Pulisic, Mount and Abraham all stepped up, Defense is a little shaky, Kepa has been shaky, but their dynamic attack has made them exciting to watch and dangerous, City is slightly down on form stunningly dropping points to Norwich and Wolves. 5 and 15 are separated by 3 points. Which happens early in the season.

Spurs sack Poch. So he's now free to go to Man U or Bayern with no penalty.

Man, there's no better manager out there than Jurgen Klopp. He's taken Liverpool to the top of the premier league despite a huge wage gap between them and the Manchester Clubs.

Liverpool is now 16 points clear with a game in hand on City.

Hard one for Liverpool is how high can they go. They have a handful of tough matches. Away vs. Wolves Away at City and Away at Arsenal all will be tough to get points.

I know fans are a huge part of soccer, especially in Germany, but I didn't enjoy the games this weekend any less just because the stadiums were empty. It was fantastic to have live sports back in a league/sport that actually matters, and I thought the games were pretty darn good, given the circumstances.

Thumbs down to Fox, however. I wasn't expecting them to put a game on big Fox and bump their infomercials (*rolls eyes*), but couldn't we get a pre/post show on FS1? They have a studio show in normal times, so it wouldn't have been out of the ordinary, and they have the on air talent. They couldn't throw together something over zoom? Maybe I'm just in my own little soccer bubble, but I was expecting a little more excitement for the return of real sports. Fox has the rights to these games, and if you only relied on them to tell you, you wouldn't even know they were on.

I mean Fox is notorious for how bad their coverage is.

This could have been a huge gain for them if they marketed it well. It won't be MLB, NHL, or NBA, but it should have been one of the bigger TV draws out there with any amount of advertising.

Fun look at the next generation (mostly) all on the field together today for the first time. A draw against a pretty good Euro team, on their soil...I'll take it.

    Future's bright.

My gripe is Berhalter's player selection. Why use Lletget as a false 9? Should have played Soto up top. I know it sucked that Bremen wouldn't release Sargent but put Soto up top and put Gio as a CAM where he's been quite good for Dortmund. Start Weah or Llanez at RW.

I know that 2 of the US's best players weren't available who were originally picked and if we had Pulisic and Sargent that attack looks different and we probably win.

Can't be mad at the result though, we held possession more than Wales and seemed like the team on the front foot. Wales seemed like a team of vets trying to make the kids make a mistake and they didn't. The match vs. Panama should be interesting.

I'm guessing (have no evidence) that Brooks and Dest will be released back to their teams today. Cannon will be starting at RB and Ream will start at LCB. I know Pulisic is released as of tonight. I'm guessing Adams and McKennie are 50/50.

If I had to guess a lineup vs. Panama

    LW - Konrad
    ST - Soto
    RW - Gio
    CAM - Lletget
    CM - Musah
CM - Johnny (again I think Weston and Adams could both be gone)
    LB - Robinson
    CB - Ream
    CB - Richards
    RB - Cannon

Players coming off the bench will be Llanez, Weah, Otasowie, Gioacchini, and Ledezma.

I would start Horvath in goal as well, but I know GGG wants Steffan as he's his clear number 1.

Musah is the exact player the US needs. He would fill a gaping hole in the midfield. Especially considering that the US has some injury concerns with Pulisic and Adams.

Weston McKennie may be my favorite American player.

While injuries are never good. Pulisic comes on for Chelsea and leads them to victory over Leeds with the dagger at the death to end any shot of Leeds coming back for a draw. And completing a triumvirate of American goals.

Runs like this are why I want Gio playing as the number 10 for Berhalters system. Having him and Pulisic assaulting people on the left side will mean dominance.

I think Gio was playing wide left that game. Dortmund uses different 10s from game to game. Berhalter seems to like Musah as the 10.
