You think that arguing against government expansion is equivalent to advocating for a lack of innovation and technology?

    1. Gives personal liberty back to people to make their own choices

    2. Provides incentive for companies to provide better care or else go out of business

    3. Creates a competitive environment for your business

    4. Reduces admin and regulatory costs on hospitals and insurance providers

    5. Worth repeating - provided individual liberty to let us make our own choices.

I always laugh at the pro-choice "my body my choice" screechers who are OK with the government mandating you to buy a product regarding your body.

The question is how to make that innovation and technology available to everyone.

    For profit has a ceiling.
I see the government involvement as one bit Co-Op.
    Like my current HC program

    why not ?
    ...............

didn't you and I have this discussion once?

and with your writing here it goes back to the tiresome old saw "everyone is a Libertarian until ... "
All of numbers 1- 5 and your post list comments fly out the window about the second $10,000 bill or 6 months of uninsured medicines that go with serious illness.

1,5. Those who can afford it, sure.

2-4. What do you think the market would look like in areas with high concentrations of low-income, less-healthy people?

So people with means have freedom to choose. People of less means (the poor, retirees, etc) have . . . what, exactly?

So because someone has means, they can't have liberty?

    Amazing the swing since October.
One blogger wrote " people learned that ObamaCare and ACA were one and the same"

Please note the chart in the middle of the article comparing
    remains the same

Essentially, yes, that is what I think you mean. Because your justification for taking my liberty is that someone else may not be able to afford what I can... therefore you have to force your will of morality on me.

I think it's a mistake to assume an equal cost structure in a scenario that I briefly outlined... as I've explained many many many times, I don't think it's a coincidence that costs go up as the government gets more involved..

In a real world example, I just lost my job on March 1st. My last day is on April 10th.

    I got hit.

Between then and now I made many calls, went to networking events, applied to several jobs, and had 4 different job offers, of which I have accepted one that starts 4/17.

So I had a plan, got hit, and worked to make it work out.

Worked out fine. Got a job with more money plus severance.

Didn't need to take the welfare check to do it, either

Sorry to hear this man, though it seems to be working out well for you. What type of job/work are you interested in, just in case I hear of anything? Something in the financial industry, right? If you don't want to get into it or talk to me about it that's cool, but if you do I"m here. I've been there and done that more than a couple of times over the years.

Thanks... it really has worked out just fine.

The irony is that my field was in education. I was hired to start a new division in the United States to help universities recruit more international students. After Trump's election, I reported that universities were more apprehensive about investing money in international recruitment due to the perception of the US overseas. Our board decided they didn't want to make the investment now with Trump - as they had recently been burned by Brexit.

So Trump cost me my job. But I have since accepted a new position with Capital One. So alls well in sturg33 land

That's great news!! Maybe you can help me by "accidentally deleting my Capital One debt". lol

If you don't mind my asking what type of education?

And this is the way it should always be done. There are plenty of jobs out there but if you have free money it there as an option many people will choose that over working for their paycheck.
