What's your take on Vince Foster. I am sincerely curious.

I believe the Clintons are similar to many of the crime families in this world so I would put nothing past them. Not saying its true that they orderred these murders (similar to what happend to the the former Haitain politician) but I would not mind it if there were more active investigations into these matters.

If it was just one incident, heck maybe two, I would say its nonsense. But there is a decent trail of death that follows those that do harm to the Clinton name.

If it leads me to believe that Manafort took a white collar pol job to satisfy Russian debts then no, I'll pass (and just take the Fort Lee exit).

correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it you a year ago that pooh poohed, perhaps even mocked the mere thought of Russian involvement ?

My thinking ? the political kids table around here is awfully crowded

    You would know, I guess.

I have mocked, and will continue to mock, lemmings who earnestly contend that Trump is a kind of nouveau "Manchurian Candidate" or people who believe that Russia 'involvement' in the election was so profound, exact, and powerful that it tilted the vote.

Russia interfering in American affairs is nothing new. Turnabout is fair play.

and let's go a little further back to a conversation you (Hawk) and I had when Trump first proposed dropping the sanctions on Put.. I mean Russia and you argued in favor of Trumps proposal.

Where did the information originate that formulated your opinion ?

yeah, if memory serves the Gerald Ford campaign once they found themselves in desperate straits turned to the Soviet Union

and even later, Bob Dole named a man indebted to Russian mining interests to head up his outreach and "delegate counting" operations
    .........................................

Of course Russia/ USSR has since the 1920's wanted to effect our elections.
What was different this time ?

Why does Trump and his people continue to lie ?
    Even his sons

Russian involvement in the election is no longer something even rock ribbed Republicans deny.
The extent of it's effectiveness ... that is to be determined.

But, bear in mind the same people a year ago that told you there was interference are now connecting the dots to the extent.
Your pooh poohing seems a little outdated or
I think that is what is called whistling past the graveyard
    ...............

Kinda reminds me of Paul Wolowitz / Bush Admin claims on WMD vs Joseph Wilsons claims of WMD.
Wolfowitz had the bluster and the administration to back him up. (fox-Limbaugh-Talk Radio)
    Wilson had, data.
For a while Wolowitz' BS ruled the day.
    But who was right ?

The same people that backed Bush Admin/Wolowitz are virtually the same people pooh poohing Russian involvement.
When do we start a thread on lemmings -- just asking
Can we revisit those thread annually?

I don't agree with the new sanctions.

The 'information' you are weakly insinuating is from Russia is actually better described as geopolitical common sense. We stand more to gain from a closer relationship with both Russia and Putin. That's not really debatable.

Again, I never said that there was no chance Russian fingerprints were on the election in any shape, form, or fashion. Feel free to prove me wrong. If you want accolades for being 'right' about that you can slink back to your echo chamber for a free cookie.

    Come on.

Stake claim to a reality. Do you believe that the Russians stole the election? Do you believe Trump is a patsy?

This is the kind of thing we were actually arguing about 10 months ago. Let's keep it in perspective instead of trying to score some intellectually lazy points.

Russia has begun "military exercises" along the Ukraine border.

Russia has more to gain from us than we have to gain from them. Has been the case since 1917 and is the case in 2017
That my friend is a "not debatable"

    Oh really?

    Come on.

Stole, I don't know about that because we aren't privy to all of the facts yet. Trump a patsy ? Who does he owe money to -- he is doing his damnedest to keep the public unaware

Score points ? Points of what --- and should I get the most points what do I win? Will Sav anoint me King of Etherworld ?
Nah, I just wanna see poor people keep access to mammograms and maintain safeguards against the effects of Industrialization .
Which was kinda at stake in the last election
To be clear, you left the impression you thought "Russian fingerprints" was very very far fetched.
But hey, that was then -- this is now

    Prove it.

Or since we can't seem to make it through a post without abusing a handful of clichés: Put up or shut up.

My reasons for partnering with Russia is to combat the true threat to world peace which is militant Islam.

pretty simple-- Russia feels emboldened to threaten Ukraine ---- again. Knowing they have friends

the 2nd line is "not debatable"

and the third -- nothing to be ashamed of -- I too wear my emotions on my face

So ... maybe ... that proves sanctions against Russia don't work. Just like the last round of toothless ones.

    Some food for thought.

But don't listen to me, I don't play poker. Just read.
