Rex Tillerson condemns Russia for using nerve agent, gets canned the next day. Nothing to see here, just another in the long line of coincidences.

So Obama used this tactic before HRC.

Wonder what Russian agents he got to dig up dirt.

I guess you neglected to read the part where Steeles sources were from russia. I can't just assume all Russians work for Putin now?

No reason at all. But I'm sitting here thinking so many of my asumptions have been accurate about this disaster that I'm willing to assume a bit more.

I think this is a good overview of where Mueller might be going as far as charges that relate to collusion/conspiracy/collaboration with the Russians.

    https://www.justsecurity.org/53241/r...rump-campaign/

There are a number of associates of Trump's who I believe will turn out to have been witting collaborators.

Three have already pleaded guilty to other charges and are cooperating: Papadopoulos, Flynn, Gates

Another is probably also cooperating: Sater

The others who for various reasons I think are in legal jeopardy specifically with respect to collusion/conspiracy/collaboration (including concealment): Manafartov, Cohen, Kushner, Trump Jr, Erik Prince Superstar, Hope Hicks, Carter Page, Roger Stone. And of course Trump himself. This is the core group. I suspect when all is said and done the list of American collaborators will be bigger.

Many in this group are also in legal jeopardy with respect to other aspects of Mueller's investigation.

I think there's potential jeopardy for some of those folks, and quite possibly several others, simply for the possibility that they lied to investigators about who knew what, and when. Papadopoulos certainly did. Watergate is an instructive example here.

This is JMO, and this article places it in good context, but I think maybe not enough has been made of Trump's "Russia, if you're listening..." comment and his heavy emphasis on Wikileaks in the final weeks of the campaign...150+ mentions in a month. It is easy to dismiss it as merely jumping on the gravy train, but it was too frequent not to have been calculated, and the circumstances of when and with what knowledge those calculations were made will end up being important one way or the other.

I'm left wondering why, if the campaign acquired knowledge of Russia's plans, nobody thought it worthwhile to contact the FBI. That's been explained as a combination of navet and low-grade mendacity, but the other logical explanation is that the campaign got deep enough quickly enough to make calling Johnny Law a non-starter. That may or may not be how it happened, but I think the possibility is in play. It's also possible that someone in the campaign did drop a dime at some point.

keep in mind the FBI was briefing Trump on Russian interference throughout the fall of 2016.

More on Roger Stone and Wikileaks:

    https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...kipedia-461651

I think the fact that Mueller hasn't asked to interview him is bad news for Stone.

    From the story linked above:

“The Washington Post story says that he did meet with Assange,” Pehme said. “I am telling you he was seeking to meet with Assange. We discussed it many times.”

Stone, a longtime confidant of President Donald Trump, has previously said he has not met with Assange. However, he publicly predicted on Twitter in August that it would be Podesta’s “time in the barrel.“ Stone also tweeted in October that he has “total confidence that @wikileaks and my hero Julian Assange will educate the American people soon.”

Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman, runs a significant risk of spending the rest of his life in prison and the evidence against him by special counsel Robert Mueller’s office seems strong, a federal judge declared in an order made public on Tuesday.

Corbyn is more akin to Sanders in his pavlovian reactions to all things Russian. Trump's fealty is derived from different sources.
