Well, Stone has been beating the Clintons to jail drum for a long time. Funny he is closer to the iron city than they are right now. I will admit I don't understand conservatism. Less than an hour later, WikiLeaks, the anti-secrecy organization founded by Julian Assange, began releasing hacked emails from the account of John Podesta, the chairman of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

The striking simultaneity fulfilled the hope of Trump confidant Roger Stone, according to Jerome Corsi, a conservative author and former Stone associate who was subpoenaed in summer for questioning by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III.

“I had one call from Roger, as I recall it — Roger disputes this — on the day that WikiLeaks did begin in October dropping the final emails on John Podesta, in which Roger was essentially saying, ‘We’ve got this timing issue because the Billy Bush tape is going to be released, and we’d like to have Assange begin releasing emails now,’” Corsi told MSNBC’s Ari Melber on Monday. Bush was the “Access Hollywood” anchor who appeared with Trump in the clip from 2005, in which the host of “The Apprentice” describes using his stardom to grope and kiss women.

Corsi acknowledged that he could not “prove” that the longtime Republican operative and self-described “dirty trickster” had taken steps to influence the timing of the email dump. Instead, he merely shared his recollection of their phone conversation, which he also recounts in his book, “Silent No More: How I Became a Political Prisoner of Mueller’s ‘Witch Hunt.’” In the 192-page book, Corsi writes that Stone asked him to see if he “could get Assange to begin dropping the Podesta emails on top of the Washington Post exposé.”

Corsi said he did not have a good mechanism of doing so, but that he made some halfhearted attempts, including issuing “some tweets.”

Responding to the book’s claims in November, Stone told the Daily Caller that the allegations were “preposterous.” On Instagram this month, he labeled Corsi a “pathological liar,” also identifying him as “Judas,” the disciple of Jesus who, in the telling of the Gospels, betrayed him.

i think the case is pretty well established by now...it includes

1) financial elements...the negotiations for the tower in Moscow envisioned profits in the hundreds of millions for Trump and a penthouse for Putin...very cozy...and denied throughout the campaign...note that the Moscow tower is but one of a number of financial entanglements between Trump and his minions and the Rooskies

2) collaboration between GRU (the hacker), WikiLeaks (which received and disseminated the stolen goods) and the campaign (which knew about the whole thing and sought to find out what WikiLeaks had and provided advice on its dissemination)

3) quid pro quo for 1 & 2 above in the form of policy changes (GOP platform on Ukraine), including sanctions...it is likely that some of the motivation for the various backchannels was to implement the quid pro quo while circumventing normal U.S. government review of such policy changes

4) other...and here i include possible collaboration on messaging, sharing of polling information, etc etc
