Hey, maybe now that Southcrack can read service time tables, he can help look up JJ's situation...

His first FA year would have been 2014, meaning the Braves controlled him through 2013. Had they followed my process, they would have looked to trade him after his 2011 season. In fact, many folks were clamoring for the Braves to sell high on JJ...remember?

Instead, they kept him...and he got hurt 11 starts into 2012...and hasn't done **** since.

Oh yeah, I forgot, I don't understand that maximizing value is the opposite of winning. JJ sure won a lot after 2011!! Derrrrp!!

Maybe you guys can find a non-HOF pitcher the Braves kept to FA that was productive all the way through team control. Probably not, but I'm sure you'll figure out a way to "prove" it's the way to win!! Derrrrrp!!

Is anyone arguing with you that the Braves have been right in the way they have operated in the past ~10 years?

No, but it gives him an excuse to use Derp.. and a day without Derp is just not a good day.

And you aren't going to find a decent vet for cheap to replace the 26 year old you are trading away. Plus, the likelihood of the prospect replacing the production of the guy you are trading is slim.

Great strategy for forever being mediocre. Bad strategy for winning.
LOL, do you even know how to read data in a chart?

The beyondtheboxscore chart clearly shows 23 year olds producing almost exactly as well as 32 year olds. It clearly shows so many pitchers have left the league by 32 there are more 23 year olds pitching at the MLB level than 32 year olds.

This is exactly what I mean...the data is crystal clear, and you STILL can't draw logical conclusions from it. Derrrrp!!

And my suggested solution fixed 2 of the biggest issues...the use of JJ and Medlen.

    Yet you are still arguing?

    LOL....derrrrrp!!

It is a profoundly odd thing for an adult to keep repeating. Reeks of immaturity.

Wonder who we are going to give up in our trade with the Tribe to bring over Kluber and Carrasco.. I mean, the Tribe are 2-3 years too late on getting rid of those scrubs. We might be able to get them cheap.

Haha, yeah, your few bits of anecdotal evidence outweigh the data I posted that reflects all pitchers in the game.

What bank employs you? I want to make sure I don't have any money socked away there lol.

My money is not safe with a financial institution willing to pay you $20 per hour haha.

There aint no banks in the south. I work at a mattress factory.. we just call dem banks down in dez parts.

and Again, I didn't realize you needed to look at each pitcher and team situation to determine when you *always* trade a pitcher at age 28 - 29.. I was just going by what you said.

Good thing mattress factories don't require reading comprehension as a skill...

Like I said to Smoot when he ignorantly made the same claim, go back and read what I wrote....

Did I say, "always trade them at 28-29", or did I say "look to trade them when they have 2 years of control remaining"?

I did type numbers wrong, but I think even you are smart enough to understand what the point was.

"It doesn't matter what you think, or what you want to see your team do. Pitchers peak around 26 and then decline rapidly. The best way to maximize overall value from them is to dump them before they decline too much. Meaning, get rid of them before they hit 30...which is why my process trades them by age 28-29."

    I don't know.. I guess I was wrong..

Did you figure that out while searching the internet for info about me? Find any other good tidbits? Would you like to creep on my FB or LI pages?

Maybe your buddy that thanked your clever post can find some more info about radar gun accuracy?
