    August 1 Roster

Here is what I think they are trying to do for August 1st roster. If they get it done is another question.

    Lineup
    Inciarte (CF)
    Albies(2B)
    Freeman(1B)
    Kemp(LF)
    Acuna(RF)
    Flowers(C)
    Camargo(3B)
    Swanson(SS)

    Bench
    SROD
    Micha Johnson
    Adonis
    Suzuki

    Rotation
    Gray
    Folty
    Newcomb
    Dickey
    Wisler/Sims

    Bulpen
    Viz
    Ramirez
    Minter
    Winkler
    Motte
    Jackson
    Freeman
    Morris

    Newly Added Prospects
    Fisher (OF)
    Stubbs (C)
    Anduyar (3B)
    ...or the like

Of course we dont know, that is why Coppy is always in the discussion. If it happens, I assume Coppy will provide quantity moreso than quality. that is why Oakland is such a better partner than others.

I assume 2 SP and 2 others...something like Gohara/Touki/TD/Cruz or lesser pitcher for better position like Touki/Meuller/Pache/TD.

I have no idea what Oakland is thinking though, so I could see nothing happening as much as something. I just think that is what Coppy wants.

Youth, Excitement, High ceiling, balance of veterans, set for next years run when we then add more young pitchng.

It's time for Albies and Swanson to switch positions. Seriously.

Reading between the lines of rumors (bad idea) I think Coppy could keep Tehran but thinks he can sell Tehran for parts we are missing (OF, 3B, C prospects) and buy Gray for parts we have duplicates (SP, SS, 2B prospects). He can sell for quality (Fisher) and buy with quantity since he has built up so much depth in the farm.

Maybe it's just me, but I am not enamored with Gray. Short RHP who throws hard with a lot of torque on his arm. I think he's an injury waiting to happen.

Swanson's defense seems more suited to second. Albies looks smoother and to have greater range, which to me seems more suited for short.

All available numbers and every scout that has ever seen both play disagree with your take.

I have a recollection that Deester who has seen them both in person a fair amount liked Albies more at short. Hopefully, he will weigh in.

Ditto, although I readily concede Albies needs experience and maturing.

Can't ever see them being switched personally - whether it makes sense or not, I'm afraid. Dansby's been identified as the franchise's SS since the day he was acquired.

Many of the people involved with the management team were more than happy with Jeff Blauser at SS years ago - not sure that doesn't answer any questions about a Swanson position change.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
