We are seeing history repeat itself here.
    Was this in minors?

Since Hey wasn't in big leagues until 2010?

Needing $75 doesn't mean you need $55 less. If you had spent your life following the correct process, you wouldn't find yourself desperate for $75.

All of these kinds of statements fall into the "gambler's fallacy" group of incorrect "facts" folks try to use to convince themselves they are making the right choice.

They are wrong. You are wrong. And it won't ever change.

Meanwhile, folks who properly utilize the process that returns the highest expected yield will continue to be richer/wealthier/better than you.

    Oh, Chef. I was joking.

But your analogy is not exactly 1:1. And your preferred strategy is not 100% accepted. It's a debate with two sides. Even putting aside the collective genius of all of us here. Or Thomas Jefferson dining alone as you might have it.

You're right...building around position prospects isn't backed by 100% of teams.

The Braves alone deny it, and make it less than 100%. They are either innovative, or making a mistake.

I'm going to lean towards it being a mistake, but you pozzies can spin it however you want.

And the mishandling of the most valuable prospect asset the Braves have/had continues.

Not only did they start his clock early for no reason, now they are burning his clock to sit on the bench.

    It really is comical.

Imagine if we call up Acuna.. he struggles for a few weeks, then we platoon him with Neck.

No. Especially not with this Swanson fiasco.

It would be more like platooning him with Xavier Avery after Avery came up and had 2 lucky weeks of ABs...after moving Kemp to CF to make room in LF for another hitter on an unsustainable streak.

Just crazy dumb moves by the Braves.

If we're not going to play Swanson that much then why is he here? He needs to play every day.

If they sent Swanson down to AAA now and called him up when rosters expand, do they get back that year of control?

One of the reasons the FO gave for rebuilding was to break out of the rut of playing for 2nd Wild card instead of championships. All the rumors and moves the last few weeks seem to indicate that the 2nd wild card is the goal. I'm usually positive about the direction of the team but my confidence is getting shaky.

I hate seeing Freddie at 3rd

I hate seeing Dansby on the bench. I get that he needs to hit the reset button but let him play in AAA not ride the bench.
